You are welcome to visit St. Gabriel's for Mass at any time. The church is also open for personal prayer during business hours Monday - Friday. If you have questions, feel free to contact us or check out the resources below.

Frequently Asked Questions: Mass
Nope! You can just bring yourself.
There is no specific dress code for Mass. Because the Mass is the highest form of Catholic worship, "Sunday Best" is recommended. Please avoid immodest or distracting clothing.
We welcome you to our liturgy, but if you are not a practicing Catholic, please do not receive Holy Communion. When the time for Holy Communion comes, you may remain seated or join the line with your hands crossed over your chest, which will signal to the priest or other minister to give you a blessing or word of encouragement. If you have questions, please ask! The priest or any of the staff would be happy to answer questions about the Eucharist. For a more in-depth explanation, check out this video from Ascension Presents: Why Non-Catholics Can't Receive Communion
The simplest way is to simply listen. Many of the people at Mass have been going for a long time, and know the prayers by heart. You can sit when everyone else sits, stand when they stand, etc. If you'd rather read the prayers, pick up a missalette (the blue covered books on the shelf behind the pews). The first section describes the "Order of the Mass", including the prayers and responses, and variations for many of them. In general, the parts that the people say will be in bold font. For the bible readings, turn to the section that follows the Order of the Mass. The readings for Sunday Masses follow a three year cycle through Scripture. The hymns are in the second half of the same book. The song number will usually be announced by a member of the choir or otherwise indicated.
Contributing to the collection basket is completely optional. If you begin attending the parish regularly, you may prayerfully consider making a regular donation either through the collection basket or online through our website. These donations are received with gratitude and allow the parish to continue operating.
Come in anyway! You can sit in any pew, and participate as much as you'd like. If you're feeling unsure, feel free to introduce yourself to an usher or parish staff.
