WHEN YOU VISIT

Visiting a new church can be intimidating: What should I wear? Where do I park?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit. Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact us or talk with an usher when you visit.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

We warmly welcome all visitors to join us for Mass, and we are delighted to have you worship with our community. Regardless of attire, you are an important part of our congregation. While there is no strict dress code, we encourage everyone to dress modestly and respectfully to respect the sacred space of our church. Many individuals choose to wear business casual or Sunday best, such as dresses, skirts, slacks, collared shirts, or blouses. Avoiding overly casual or inappropriate clothing is appreciated, but please know that your presence is the most important aspect of your visit. We look forward to sharing the Mass with you.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

We have both an upper and lower parking lot. While the upper lot is closer to the church, both are available for parking.

I'M NOT CATHOLIC... HOW DO I KNOW WHAT TO DO AT MASS?

No worries at all! We are thrilled to have you join us, and you are more than welcome, regardless of your background or beliefs. Attending Mass is a shared experience, and there's no expectation that everyone knows the ins and outs right away. Feel free to observe and follow along with the congregation during the service. If you're unsure about any specific actions, our community is here to support you. You can follow the lead of those around you, and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask a friendly parishioner or one of our ushers. We're here to make your experience comfortable and enriching, and we hope you find the Mass to be a meaningful and welcoming experience.

I'M NOT CATHOLIC... IS IT OK FOR ME TO RECEIVE COMMUNION?

While we appreciate your presence and are glad you're here, receiving Communion in the Catholic Church is typically reserved for baptized Catholics who are properly disposed and prepared to receive Christ in the Eucharist. However, we invite you to come forward during the communion procession with your arms crossed over your chest. This signifies that you are not receiving the Eucharist but would like to receive a blessing. Many people choose this option, and we encourage you to participate in this way as a gesture of unity and community. If you have any questions or are unsure, our ushers and greeters are here to assist you. If you are interested in understanding our faith more fully, you can look into our RCIA program.

AM I EXPECTED TO PUT MONEY IN THE OFFERING BASKET?

While there is no obligation to contribute, many members of our community choose to support the church through offerings during the offertory. Your participation in this aspect of worship is entirely voluntary, and we want you to feel comfortable. Whether or not you choose to make a donation, your presence is valued, and we are grateful for your participation in our community. If you have any questions or would like more information about supporting our church, feel free to ask one of our ushers or visit our parish office.
